Former Member of Parliament and Senior Advisor at the Prime Minister's Office, politics didn’t in the least tamper with Dr. Zouberr Joomaye’s love for and devotion to the sick. Doctor in Medicine (Montpellier, France) and Associate Professor of Medicine (Washington University of Health & Science), Zouberr undertakes this epic calling with his wife Shaheen by his side. Indeed, he is the Founder and President of the Falcon Memorial Cancer Institute. He has been integrally involved in helping to establish a local public health advocacy association that influences and shapes cancer fight at various levels. His passion for answering the calls of all cancer patients, their families, and health care professionals is exemplified in his commitment. In his present capacity as spokesperson for the National Communication Committee on COVID-19, and Chairperson of the National Vaccination Committee of COVID-19, Zouberr handles a broad portfolio in support of Mauritian health priorities. Equally Founder and Director of Polyclinique de L'ouest Ltée, and Founder and President of HepSupport (an NGO actively fighting Hepatitis), within the local medical realm, he is a leading authority in his field, with a well established reputation as a specialist in Internal Medicine & Hepato-Gastroenterology.
