SHAHEEN JAULIM-JOOMAYE

VICE-PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER, THE FALCON MEMORIAL CANCER INSTITUTE (FMCI)
Being a graduate of the University of Buckingham, England, in LLB and LLM, Shaheen’s law background proves to be a valuable upside for FMCI’s Managing Committee in budget oversight, fundraising, mission program delivery, administrative functions, and facility management. Her interest in the Mauritian health agenda, particularly in the cancer fight, transpires in her six-year experience as Executive Director of Polyclinique de L’Ouest Ltee. She also held upper management positions at several clinics, namely, St Helene Clinic Co Ltd, Coromandel Clinic Co Ltd, and acts as Director of Falcon Property Holdings Ltd.  This medical administrative background firmly roots her into this leadership position at the heart of the association to essentially attend to cancer patients and cancer care via administrative channels. Shaheen is also passionate about charitable activities, and sought to extend charity work by contributing to the relief of patients and caregivers. She enters the cancer fight arena as Co-founder and Vice President of the FMCI. As such, she is to fulfill a mission-critical role of ensuring the translation and alignment of the Falcon Memorial Cancer Institute’s objectives, wagering achievement of field operation goals.  Shaheen Jaulim-Joomaye and her husband Zouberr are the kingpins of FMCI.
