On March 7, 2022, the FMCI held its Annual General Meeting.
Present during the AGM was the President of the association, Dr. Zouberr Joomaye, the Vice-President, Mrs. Shaheen Jaulim-Joomaye, the Secretary of FMCI, Mrs. Anouska Hosanee, the Treasurer, Mr. Roomesh Ramchurn, the Assistant Treasurer, Mr. Ghalib Gendoo and Mr. Sheilesh Kumar Singh Rambaccussing, Board Member of FMCI. Dr. Sheereen Jaulim and Mrs. Nooreen Palmer, from FMCI USA also held the meeting via video conferencing.
During this meeting, the Board unanimously agreed and approved the way and process followed during the first year. It was noted that the Association has been well structured and has put in place mostly/if not all appropriate control for feasibility and visibility of donors and applicants for donation requests for cancer treatment. The first year of FMCI has been marked by the association’s first sponsorship for a cancer patient treatment in Mumbai. The FMCI has had a busy and exciting start to the year. While the association is still young, the achievements of its very first year were deemed satisfactory.
